Ce film de Jim Henson et Brian Found
est un mirobolant mélange entre songe et réalité,
dans lequel la jeune et romantique Sarah (Jennifer Connely)
se confronte à un monde magique d’elfes, lutins et gnomes qui,
sous l’ordre du cruel et séduisant Jareth (David Bowie),
ont enlevé son petit frère Toby.
Pour le sauver d’un sort tragique
(d’être transformé en lutin),
elle part à l’aventure dans le labyrinthe
qui mène au mystérieux château où son frère est capturé.
Son parcours deviendra une découverte de son propre devenir femme...
Ce que j'aimait énormément dans ce film sont
les petits personnages imaginaire qui le peuplent,
comme le vers,
le monstre Ludo,
Sir Didimus, le renard (mon préféré) assis sur son vaillant chien...
et plein d'autres...
